      This review is about ************************************************** agents at the **************** of Houlihan Lawrence. ***** and his mother, *****, coordinated with us to show a home for rent. We saw the home and submitted an offer. After a few days, ***** told me via text that the homeowner selected us to rent their home. His exact words were: "I just spoke with the homeowner and congratulations they are going with your offer." At this point, we turned down the opportunity to rent other homes. He then, for the next four days, provided me with text messages saying he was working on the lease to send over to me. We had even scheduled another viewing of the house to measure for furniture, which ***** facilitated. The evening before that meeting was to occur, I received a call from his mother to let me know that the homeowner decided to go with another tenant who could provide a longer lease. I am moving cross country with my family in 6 weeks. ***** indisputably misled us and continued to delay the lease signing, while they continued to show the home to other tenants. This has caused us countless additional hours and significant additional expense to restart our home search in a competitive market. While both ***** and ***** tried to argue that this "goes both ways" and as tenants "we could have walked away too" and cause harm to the homeowner, we were literally waiting for the lease to be sent to us. The delay was 100% on ************* and it was their responsibility to manage proper communications. If the homeowner wasn't ready to make a decision, they should not have deceived us. If they intended on continuing to show the home, they shouldn't have told us we were selected as the renters. They shouldn't have said they would send the lease and then delay every day. They shouldn't have scheduled an appointment so we could measure. Simply, they are unethical Realtors. Also, we reached out to the head broker at their office, ***************************, and she never returned our phone calls.
