I had received a coupon in the mail for a $1000 off. A new rental agreement for the quarry store and on the back. It says to present this card for $500 off your 1st month. 's rental and 500 off your last month's rental payment. I called her for a stove.. I needed a new stove for the holidays. Because I don't have one since I moved in. They were supposed to deliver it today 12-23-2024 between 1-2 And I got no stove. They won't honor the coupon. They won't even budge on it. She told me it was a $100 off and that was it? She said it was a misprint and she wasn't going to offer it.
So here I am with no stove for the holidays. And they won't even offer or consider anything else but a $100 off and I don't think that's fair. I have my couch, my bed and my tires through them as well. They won't even budge on the document is attached and I think they should offer it an honor it they will give me a $100 off when it clearly says a 1000 and then on the back. It says 500 last month and 1st month payment last month.

Hello, my name is Christopher P***** I am the District
Manager for Hometown Rent to Own. The coupon in question unfortunately was a
typographical error, we outsourced our promotional coupons through a 3rd party company. We have taken the proper steps to make sure this does not happen
      in the future.

The stove was delivered on 12-23-24 between the scheduled
time of 1 pm and 2 pm. It’s our company policy that the delivery technicians
call the store to have the customer speak to the Manager to ensure the delivery
was performed to a high standard and to ensure the satisfaction of the customer.
During that phone call the customer stated they were fully satisfied.

I have made several attempts to contact the customer
regarding this complaint and have been unsuccessful in doing so.

      Sincerely,

      Chris P****

      In regard to the complaint,

The 4-wheeler was done on 4/5/24 and delivered on 4/5/24 in working condition.  On Monday, 4/8/24 **** called to report the 4 wheeler was broken.  On 4/8/24 the 4-wheeler was taken back to Hometown Rent to Own's repair shop where it underwent a diagnostic.  In that Diagnostic it was found that it was damaged based upon the rear axle coming loose and pulling laterally on the drive train causing the clutch to wear excessively.  **** admitted that her son got the 4-wheeler stuck in a "mudhole" and was rocking the unit back and forth trying to get it unstuck.  As a result of doing such, it caused the damage previously stated and was considered customer abuse  Nevertheless, parts were ordered on 4/11/24 and the unit was repaired on Wednesday, 4/17/24.  The repair bill came to $166.83.  The store manager did not charge her for extra hours put into the repair, trying to save her money.  As it states in the document all repairs are due at the time of service as it was deemed customer abuse.  Chris, the store manager, went above and beyond agreeing to not only split the payment into 4 amounts but did not charge her for the full work that was preformed.  Payment installments were to start on Saturday 4/20/24.  **** called on Friday, 4/19/24 regarding not being able to have the 4-wheeler as her landlord would not allow her to have it on the property.  On 4/23/24 ******* *********, ****'s husband, called stated they were unable to pay for the 4-wheeler until Friday, 5/3/24 due to not working from being sick.  Chris, the stores managers had called the owners of Hometown Rent to Own and asked if he could make an exception on returning the 4-wheeler as the landlord would not allow them to keep it.  Ownership approved this request with the understanding that the repair bill had to be paid on or before 5/3/24.

I have attached a copy of the PA rental agreement in which **** signed and dated.  On line number 1. It states there are no refunds.  On line 9. It states if the property is damaged the customer is responsible for excess normal wear and tear and that they are liable for either the fair market value of the property, the purchase option or the cost of the repairs. On line 17. It states the customer has acknowledged  they carefully examined the property and found it to be in satisfactory condition.  On line 22. it state no returns due to customer abuse and or seasonal items.  I have also attached the service repair bill.

We are willing to continue to allow **** ********* to continue the rental, but the rental will need to be paid for based upon how she gets paid and the service repair bill will need to be satisfied as agreed upon.
