    The contractor, Adam Finkney, came to my home gave me an estimate, and said he would be back the next day to start working. He asked for a $400. deposit to cover materials. He stated the work would be completed by 7/5. The excuses started the next day, with my ex dropping off the kids, and my ex didn't pick up the kids. Then he was coming and just wouldn't show up. I am a senior with a limited income. I asked for my deposit to be returned so I could get my repair done by someone else as my chimney leaks when it rains. He did not respond until I posted a bad review on ******** where I had found his company. He tried to blame the rain. It rained one day. In my opinion, he just wanted some cash for the holiday weekend and is a total scammer. He claims to be accredited by the BBB and has had multiple business names. I also have DMs from the ******** app for our correspondence.

    7/21/23 I signed a contract to have my existing driveway torn out an replaced. Contract stated work would be completed within 5 days of receiving deposit. My contact with Finkney has been through texts. I was given excuses as to why work wasn't being completed and that it would be finished that week. I was told that 3 or 4 times. My driveway was torn up, a concrete mixer showed up at my house and left, a load of stone was dumped in my driveway and hasn't moved. It's been almost two months and this is unacceptable. I have pictures, my contract and copies of all correspondence.
