      Ordered a replacement hottub cover for my ******** ******** tub. I ordered the straps according to the diagram as provided by the cover guys website. I had basically 4 choices, position A,B,C or D. I chose C as that best lined up with my hottub. Well, they were several inches off so I can not lock the cover down. Turns out, none of the positions would work. Customer service very unhelpful as they recommended I drill into the shell or buy a new sleeve. I asked the company for an acceptable resolution since that. The Cover Guy also stopped communicating with me so I'm left with a defective cover. I will dispute the charge and leave deserved bad reviews.

      First Experience: purchased a cover, after a few heavy rains the center began to sag and eventually the cover gave and the interior vinyl split. Even after providing all the required receipts and photos showing poor workmanship (product failure) and that my purchase was within the "hassle free warranty" timeframe, I was emailed that "the production team denied my warranty claim", but they would send me a "complimentary cover cap which is a $100 value". Unfortunately, I made the mistake of giving them another shot and ordered another cover from them that this time arrived damaged. When I attempted to return the cover, I was told "we apologize, but all sales are final" and they refused to take it back. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. IF ZERO STARS WAS AN OPTION THAT WOULD BE MY RATING.

      SCAMMERS! Ordered mine and fully broke down within like 1 year or so even though I ordered ALL the upgraded cover components and even in the title it says mine is MADE FOR WINTER, well in VA we have had about a total of 4 inches of snow in the last year or so and it couldn't even handle that. Offered me a 'discount' and wouldn't stand behind their IN WRITING Warranty!!!

      Horrible customer service. My amazing cover after 17 months was soaked. Called and emailed 6 times and file a warranty. The only remedy was a 20% off coupon + shipping. Would never recommend this to anyone. I have even emailed a number of pics and detailed emails. No one even cares there.

      We placed order, all seemed fine until receiving shipping updates. The date kept getting pushed out, then they said it was delived a week eariler then expexed. Someone was home all day it was never delivered. We contacted them, no response. Do not order from this company.

      When we got our hot tub cover, which was delivered to our lake house. It wasn’t opened until a couple weeks later. The box and the plastic around the cover was not damaged. But the inside of the cover had a tier in it and it had already started raveling. So it hadn’t just happened. Ask for something to repair it or some suggestions of how to fix it. But told us we had 48 hours to report damage but looked on the website and it said nothing about the 48 hours. So that was money wasted.

      This is a fraudulent company. Advertise free shipping and show free shipping at checkout. Next day get major shipping fee notification requesting additional payment. Unable to get my refund. Should be sued. I would give zero stars but have to enter one to complete the review.

      The quality of materials is very poor. I filed a warranty claim and the warranty department said that the sun melted the styrofoam. Because I put my hottub in front of a window. I claim bs. My hottub has been in front of the window for 20 years. It has never melted before. The cover became a birdbath after one year.

      Buyer beware- Purchased cover for price on web site. Days later we were contacted and told we needed to pay an additional shipping charge of 107.61. We almost cancelled our order at that time and I wish I had. Cover was delivered damaged and here we are weeks later with no resolution. I don’t usually put reviews, but figured I would take the time to possibly help someone not make the same mistake. We paid a total of 667.24 for a cover and are very dissatisfied with this company.

      First let me start by asking how The Cover Guy is still in business! They sell a product and do not back it up even with a warranty. I bought my cover off them (3rd cover) by the way had it for about 5 months and the foam barriers started to collapse (defective foam barriers) I paid extra to have them wrapped etc. but still collapsed and now black mold is growing on the inside. When I contacted them about the issue I had to jump through hoops just to get a reply but when I did they wanted me to send pictures of the damage ect.. so I sent about 10 plus picture's first time then they requested more pictures which I provided and then they contacted me stating that it is not covered by warranty because the reason it failed is because the light coming off the kitchen window causes it to melt due to the reflection!! WHAT. Now I own my own swimming pool company for over 35 years and also do service on Hot Tubs and Spas and this is the Craziest excuse I have ever heard of, never mind the sun does not hit the kitchen window until about 4 in the afternoon for about 25/30 minutes. There answer was Sorry this has happened and you can do two things, One flip the foam barriers over and see if that works (but still damaged anyways so this was useless) or two we can replace the foam for 99 dollars and 199 shipping. I wish I would of checked the BBB before buying this flimsy piece of crap. Buyer Beware to the COVER GUY for they do not back there product up and just make you wait forever and jump through hoops just to give you a NONSENSE Excuse on how this happened. I will now make it my mission on all social media to let people know about this company.
