    I had responded to an on-line ad for snow & ice maintenance work at a property I own in Saratoga Springs, NY. The ad was for "Well Rounded Construction & Companies" but upon meeting a representative to confirm quote, receive contract, and pay a 50% deposit to execute the contract. The contract was in the name of ResCom Building & Remodeling. However, they have not showed for any of the measurable snowstorms this 2024-2025 season.

    I also hired this company to make a sizable drywall repair of a ceiling after a plumbing leak. I paid them in full with cash; they showed up for about an hour or so to start the project but never showed up to finish the project.

    In both cases they have "ghosted" me and have not been responsive to my inquiries to seek repayment for services not rendered. I contacted the Saratoga County Sherrif's office to get a police report after visiting the property and my documentation of the contract. They refused to engage citing the situation as a civil matter but the reality is this contractor has scammed me and stole roughly $1,200 in deposits.

    I remain hopeful that the BBB can help resolve these issues to my satisfaction so I don't have to go to small claims court.

    On October 29, 2024, I contracted with ResCom Building & Remodeling for snow clearing services at my home, * ******** ***** ***** ****** NY, 12027. I paid $1200.00 for the 2024-2025 season, and services were to be provided when the show fall was 2 inches or more. The contract included a refund provision if I was not satisfied. We paid by check and the check was cashed.

    On Thursday, November 28, 2024, there was a snowstorm in this area with accumulations far greater than 2 inches. I contacted "Angelo" of ResCom by text, and we agreed that because it was Thanksgiving, the services would be provided the next morning, November 29, 2024.

    No one showed up on November 29 to clear my driveway or front walk, and I did not receive any replies to text messages asking for status updates.

    Unless Angelo has been involved in some sort of accident which has prevented him from replying to my text messages, this seems like a scam.

    I hired ResCom to do the construction work on an invesment property (**** *****). The entire project was to cost me $70,000. He wanted me to pay him $10,000 a week for 7 weeks. After the first payment literally nothing was done except for demolition. He would not proceed without another payment. I paid the second installment and he never showed up all week. He said if I give him $3000 more he will at get the bathroom completed. After a month he was only there a total of 5 days. The bath was not completed and what he did do in there had to be removed by my new contractor. He put regular sheetrock around the tub, not water resistant Green Board. He was supposed to have all the old sheetrock removed and new walls and ceilings done but it never happened. I ended up firing him because he would not show up to do work. He would say I will be there the "Late Shift" and when I went there he or his crew never showed. For $23,000 all he did was install a few recessed lights and put up about 4 sheets or sheetrock. He installed the vanity and tub in the bath but never finished the bathroom. He also incorrectly installed 4 doors. I am fine with paying him for work that was completed but there is absolutely no way that there is $23,000 worth of work done.

    The address that I provided is the current address of the business.  I believe that he just moved to this address.
