    I rented Harmony Banquet Hall located at 1410 State St in Schenectady, NY for Nov 5,2022. I rented it for my daughter‘s baby shower I gave the owner a deposit of $1000 the total cost was 1300. Unfortunately my daughter suffered a miscarriage in her seventh month of pregnancy this was her first child and my first granddaughter. She also suffered life-threatening illness to her own body. I explained the situation to the owner and he was rude, unfeeling and unsympathetic. He told me that he couldn’t refund my money that he will be keeping the entire deposit. The stress of this was unbearable for myself and for my daughter this was my first grandchild and my daughter’s first child I suggested that he take a percentage of the money and give me the rest but he blatantly refused. This man Is heartless and unfeeling! Situations in life happen unfortunately, but where is the human kindness he showed me none on this day.
