I had a collision in the colonial car wash shop ***** ******* **** ******* ** ****** One of their branch) last Wednesday. Their staff let me fill out a damage form and both of us got a case number from the police. The detailed information is as follows:
Accident date and time: March 22, 2023, 12:30 pm
      Vehicle information: ******* ********** ***** ****** ******
Nature of Damage: Car front bumper
Description of Damage: When I just drove into their shop, I followed the staff's instructions to let my car enter the conveyor belt with my car in neutral. One truck was being washed in front of my car. But the conveyor belt suddenly bounced my car forward, causing my car to hit the front truck and break my front bumper.
Case number from the policy: ********
The series of events that followed made me want to lodge a complaint about them.
After the accident happened, they didn't tell us immediately! So the car in front left without realizing the accident. I went to confront their staff about it and it was only then that they admitted an accident had occurred. The staff asks me to wait for 5 business days for a response because their manager was not there. I also left a message last Friday. But I have not gotten any response from their manager. Regarding the collision, both the police and their staff member agreed that this is not my fault. I am not sure if it's the front car's fault or the conveyor belt's issue or the staff's wrong instruction in the car wash, so I would like to contact them to solve this problem. I left my number, but they didn’t pick up my phone. I switched to another phone # to call, and it was answered right away. They still said that they needed to wait for the manager to respond. During this time, I inquired about the estimated repair cost at the *** body shop, which was around a couple of thousand dollars. I couldn't wait any longer. I went there to make my car look better, not to have it damaged! Their handling of this matter was extremely poor!

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  Hi, Thank you for your help! The business has contacted me directly. The manager of the Colonial Car Wash told me to go to a body shop for estimating the repair cost and then send him a copy of it so that he will pay for that.   Thanks for your help again!

      Regards,
