    Contractors worker did a terrible job with resurfacing my basement floor in July of this year. Owner Roger Althiser seen it, apologized, promised to rectify by redoing the job, but now he will not return phone calls or reply to text messages. I really thought he was trustworthy but has proven otherwise. At this point I would like this situation resolved by completing the job or returning the money so I can hire someone else.

    On 08/09/2024 gave contractor $1600 to buy materials for gutter covers 1/2 of contract amount of $3200 contractor hasn't done anything so I have asked for my money back all I get from him are excuses tells me will return money but keeps putting me off

    We hired JNR Contractors in June of 2023 to power wash, sand, stain/paint and repair our deck. We paid $3250 after the job was complete. We were unsatisfied with the job at the time because many areas were left unfinished, however, Roger the owner did send someone back to fix touchups. The winter passed and our deck now looks worse than before. The stain/paint did not adhere and is all bubbling up and coming off. The hand railing fell off, the new steps that were built had nails popping up, another set up steps was never secured. The worst in the condition of the decking floor. On April 6th 2024 I reached out to Roger of JNR and told him of our findings. He continually blames it on ******* ******** and stated someone from ******* ******** came out to our house to look at the deck. Roger sent 1 employee out to our deck at 2 different times to do some sanding of the deck. Roger goes radio silent for days and weeks. As of today, June 26, 2024 the deck has not been fixed. I have in text messages from Roger he would have it fixed with no cost to us. I asked for our money back in full to let us part ways and he does not reply. I would like this to just be over and would love to use our deck!

    BBB previously spoke to the business and the following was relayed: I have been there multiple times, sanded all down to make sure there was no moss or anything left. This is located in a wetland area, is close to the ground, and might be getting moisture from underneath. This has been a wet season so we have been waiting for a dry stretch to go out there. I am planning on going out there on Sunday (July 21).

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

    We have been reaching out to Roger at JNR Contractors since March asking for this to be fixed. We keep reaching out to him and get responses days and sometimes weeks apart. The last confirmation we had (in person with a handshake) was that the decking would be replaced on July 29th. Now we received messages they do not have the money to complete the job yet.  We expect this to be completed by Wednesday August 21st or we will have to escalate the situation.
