      On September 6, 2022 I contacted Ideal Legal Support Services (via email) to help me evict a tenant. On 9/7/22, Alex said (by email) he would take the case and said to fill out an "intake form online", which I did. I waited weeks and weeks and weeks and never heard anything. I called and left messages but they didn't get back to me. I emailed them on January 20, 2023 and asked if I had a court date. I was told they had an employee named Alex who went back to college and was no longer with them and failed to work on this case properly. At that time, they assured me they would work on things now and requested a payment. I paid them $581.30 over the phone (see attached). I was told this payment would be to serve the tenant and also to have an attorney represent me in court when it comes time. I followed up the following month in Feb 2023 for a status. They still had not done anything. Its been 5 months and nothing. I said I wanted to cancel my case with them and I would have to go somewhere else for help. At that point, I was transferred to Matt. He said he would refund my money by sending me a paper check to my home address. It has been a month and no check. On 3/10/23 I emailed them asking for my money. They are not answering their phone, or returning my emails. I want my money as soon as possible.

      Better Business Bureau: 

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  I have an update on the complaint I filed with Ideal Legal Services. The id number is ********. I am happy to report that 3 days ago the company finally mailed me my refund check in full. The case can be closed as far as I’m concerned. Thank you, **** ****

      In April 2022 I hired this company to evict a tenant. First, they should have asked me if the tenant had a pending ERAP application as this would mean I cannot evict until that is resolved. Instead they took me on as a client. After paying them about $750 they told me they do not have a lawyer to do an eviction in the city of Cohoes. Another important thing they should have told before taking my case and my money.

      At this point I was required to find a lawyer which I have done. The lawyer requested all of the documents Ideal Eviction had served the tenant. Ideal eviction refused to hand me over the documents as they "have had a landlord try to start a business with their paperwork" Therefore they had to mail them to the lawyer. They said it would be 2 days. 2 weeks later still no paperwork mailed to the lawyer. They refuse to respond or answer any phone calls. I literally have to drive 20 min to their office to get their attention. I have made roughly 8 trips. Today is 8/26/22 and I still have no paperwork. I would like a full refund of what I paid this company plus reimbursement for the 3 months this tenant has stayed due to their lack of attention to my case. I would also like reimbursement for the time it took me to drive back and forth to their office because they would not answer or return calls.
