  This owner has doubled the price he quoted me over the phone, simply because I said he was being completely unfair and asked for a pdf quote to show the Manufacturer. I had an axle issue on a trailer that was 2 years old. Even though the warrantee was for 3 years, he said "shorelander will not replace or fix". After selling me a 6400 dollar trailer that sits so high i cannot launch boat from it, i went to try to put in the water and realized it won't work. After calling and telling him i wanted to bring this back, he persisted he had nothing else to put boat on and I would have to wait for parts to fix original trailer(2400 value new). He said he would buy the new trailer that didn't fit back. I only drove it to launch and home! After weekly follow ups, I called Lund Directly to ask them if someone else could take care of this in the area. They must of emailed Cr Marine, because the next day they called and said original trailer was fixed and ready to be picked up. I said great, what's the cost and whats the amount i'll receive back from taking back the new trailer that does not fit the boat. He even made unsafe modifications to the trailer to "make it fit". I don't think drilling new holes in frame to make the boat fit was professional or legal for that matter. He goes on to tell me that he can only give me 3k for the trailer I just paid 6400 for that doesn't fit my boat! Then, after saying I wan't willing to sell the trailer for that little amount. I asked to just pay the 1100 which he quoted to fix the origional trailer and i'd sell the more expensive trailer on my own. He then send me a PDF quote threw a text message telling me the amount to pick up origional trailer is now 2546.80. Keep in mind, a new trailer identicle to this one is 2,400 bucks.... So he more than doubled the price. Complete bogus fees such as (trade in reversal for 500) and up the shop hours double. Also charging 145 to swith trailers on a hoist. Litteraly a scam artist.

  ***** purchased this boat motor and trailer brand new from us on 3-15-2021. He called us the week of July 19th 2023 stating his trailer lost a wheel and had it flat bedded to our dealership. Upon inspection we found the bearings failed du to lack of grease. We called the manufacturer (***** ******)  to see if this was a warranty item and were told it was not covered. I called ***** and told him that it would not be covered under warranty. He authorized the repair and we proceeded to order the parts the week of July 24th 2023. Unfortunately the axel was on back order with a several month wait time. I told ***** that my only option for him was to wait for the parts to show up or I could sell him a brand new ******* trailer for $6,400.00 I gave him $500.00 trade in for his old trailer as is (not repaired) So he paid me $5,900.00 + tax and registration for the new trailer . We had him back in the water for the very next weekend! We did finally get the replacement Axel in November of 2023 and proceeded to repair it for resale. I normally would try and work this out directly with the customer but he was very rude and verbally abusive to me. ***** has two options at this point. He can keep the trailer he has right now which is perfectly fine. or he can pay for the repair on his old trailer and either keep both or trade in the ******* in towards the repaired trailer. I offered him $3,600.00 trade in as it is now a used trailer registered in his name. I have attached the trailer repair quote's the only difference is the $500 trade value reversal and one hour shop labor @ $145 to put his boat in our lift and swap trailers. Thank you, Chris R***
