    i would not recommend Mr. Syrell and his business. He was asked to remedy many issues that occurred with the siding job and the porch that we contracted for. He would constantly try to remedy the issues by having someone else come in and cob the problems. An example would be that instead of replacing a piece of siding that was too short, they filled it in with caulking or silicone, we really weren't sure what it was but it sure wasn't siding.We had to hire another contractor to remove the siding and nail it down correctly. In many places, the siding was nailed on using 1 nail. Thousands of dollars later we ended up going to Small Claims court where we won the maximum allowed in NYS. What was supposed to be a 3 month job ended up taking 1 year. This was not a large job by any means. He installed the soffitt and had it running towards the house which eventually led to water running back towards the house which resulted in ice on the siding and a window. Industry standards/ instructions by large companies recommend it to be angled away from the house to prevent damage. He is a gifted salesman, BEWARE! He has an explanation for everything and make sure EVERYTHING IS IN WRITING as it may be a problem for you later.
