I booked a hotel room in October 19th and 20th, when I first got there a man drinking alcohol was trying to talk to me and insisting on helping me and I didn’t really want anything to do with him. I went to the front desk got my key to my room and went upstairs. The first key I got was to a room that already had peoples stuff in it. I called down and asked for a new key and was told he would bring one up to me for a new room. I was standing the the doorway of the room that overlooks the lobby from upstairs and i over hear the strange man asking the front desk what room I was staying in. Not only did the man at the front desk tell him but he gave this man a key to the new room I was staying in to give to me. I didn’t feel safe so once I got to my room I asked to switch my reservation to 1 night. He told me my money would be refunded to my card. I never got my money back. A few days later I went to the hotel requesting I get my money back and they told me in one day. 2 more days go by and I still don’t have my money back. I end up calling corporate and they told me to dispute it with my bank. I went back to the hotel and they gave me a receipt saying they changed my reservation to one day and should have only charged me $101.00 for the one night. They told me the following Monday I’d get my money refunded. My bank can’t refund my money so I am at a loss. They owe me $101.00 and it’s been almost a month and I still don’t have my money back.

I have a signed group contract with Quality Inn - Schoharie for 25 rooms on 08/04/23, dated 02/20/23. I confirmed the reservation for 11 rooms for 08/04/23 on 06/01/23. On 07/30/23 the hotel was called, in preparation for group travel starting on 08/02/23, and I was informed that the reservation was cancelled and that no rooms were available for 08/04/23. This resulted in having to obtain lodging for 22 people on short notice. The only establishment with sufficient lodging close to our intended destination was **** ******* Inn for twice the cost. When the hotel was called and the contract presented it was stated that an electronic signature was not acceptable (why then was this not communicated at the time of the contract or when the reservation was confirmed in June), and the reason that the confirmation in June was not honored was that the employee who confirmed the reservation no longer worked at the motel (I do not understand how that is relevant).
