    On 8/26/2024 *** ********, a contractor who spoke with a strong Irish accent, approached me offering to do work. Showed damaged masonry in backyard. His men started to work on that but then proceeded to break up pool deck without my permission. Stated that if I let people see his work, he would "take care of me" and give me a big discount. He was very pushy. He kept finding additional things to work on. His men demolished my backyard paving, removed home shingles and bricks. I did not receive a contract and estimates which I repeatedly asked for. He did not provide his license or company name. I later obtained from his workers. He showed us a picture on his phone that he claimed was his license but took it away before we could even make it out. After about a week he demanded $80,000 in CASH. I told him that was not possible to do because it would take the bank time to release it. Later realized that I was being scammed. Made him stop work and told him I was not going to pay him. He threatened putting a Lien on my home. We have called the police several times to get him off our property. My neighbor across the street told me that he was scammed in a similar manner by the same person who called himself *** ******
