I first purchased a flex plate for **** at Cadillac International on January 27, 2023. This is an expensive item, I paid $270 for it.We had rocky ******* from the start, after about 10 days I reached out to inquire about when I would receive the product. **** informed me that he had 2, just had to find them and determine which was better. After a month, the flex plate finally arrived.I wasn't happy upon opening the package, I noticed several oddities. The plate looked to have been freshly spray painted with considerable red/orange rust dust. Which is ironic considering **** said one was *****. Second, several of the gear teeth were missing, smashed, or damaged. And third, it was marked for a 65 on the back when I was told it came off a 66.I contacted him immediately with highlighted photos to demonstrate the damage. I had 2 separate mechanic shops tell me it was past the point of operation. I tried several times to rectify the situation with **** (owner) via email and telephone until he stopped answering my calls or emails. It was only once I called from another phone that he answered. After my most recent call I emailed him once more to confirm his intentions of refunding my bank account, at which point I would send the plate back with tracking. I don't expect payment until the plate is returned, I just want it in writing after his dodgy behavior. **** acknowledged his lack of response with several excuses and was dismissive of anything I said. I tried to rectify the situation with **************** but somehow he was able to negate that fraud protection. I have no other avenues at this point for remediation.
