    Shoprite Incident on Friday 7/19 approx 5:15 PM - 5:30pm obstruction parking lot, rude security standing around and shopping carts everywhere. Went to go into the store and hit my head trying to avoid random vehicles parked in the fire lane, shopping carts overfilled and this sign as a pedestrian I hit my head on while trying to answer a call from my spouse. I went to talk to security about why is that sign their he said i don't know i felt daisied and confused. **************** Rep did not seem to care at all about the manager as they were too busy dealing with something else. By the time I got home after shopping still for a few items for my family, my husband called the store and Manager **** said oh just come in here. As a shopping store to get in and get out you have everyone just hanging out smoking whatever like no one gives a s*** Rude staff to get a job done. I did not fill out an incident report with Shoprite because they didn't care at the time to take me seriously. My head still hurts as I was lucky enough that I have members in my family that helped me and cared for my abrasions. This sign for whatever reason is an obstruction between the sidewalk and the actual building. As you can see in this photo the company that build this and positioned a sign left a hazard for pedestrians and families that want to do business. Related to ShopRite or not people there are not trained medical professionals only care for doing the minimum and getting a check. We usually as a family don't have issues with this store but lately when I still go in there being mixed race I'm still being treated as a second-class citizen that is not one, my family fights for our Country. and btw I was walking to the store and did not have our car parked illegally there.

    On August 9, 2023, I made purchases which included a can of Scrubbing Bubbles, for the amount of $4.99 (I have attached a copy of the receipt). (It was advertised that it was on sale) but later found out it was not.). No problem. After scanning the item, it charged me $4.99 and told the employee I didnt want it since it was not on sale. I immediately gave the item back. However, when I got home, I noticed that she did not deduct the $4.99 from my bill. I called Shoprite on August 12, spoke to ******** and she said to bring it back with the receipt. On Saturday, August 12, I explained what had happened to ****** at **************** who told me they had to check the cameras/tape and to come back in 20 minutes, which I did. When I came back after 20 minutes, ****** told me that they couldnt see from the cameras. She was very vague and unhelpful, refusing to refund the $4.99. So I asked to speak to a Manager, who was ******. Explained everything again and he abruptly tells me, Bring back the item and I will give you your money back. I insisted and told him that I dont have it bc I gave it back the item to his employee, who neglected to deduct it from the bill. He became very argumentative, talking over me.He continued to imply that I had stolen it from the store. I was very upset and said to him, Are you calling me a Thief. In the meantime, ****** said to me We dont give out handouts. Really?????? Im not asking for anything but to get a refund. It was the employees mistake. ****** should not be a Manager. His and ******!s comments were very offensive, insulting and demeaning. . I am not a Thief!!!!!! I have filed a complaint with Shoprite Corporate, Ref #*******, and they have told me the complaint was sent to the Owner of the store. However, as of this date, no one had reached out to me. They are just covering up.This behavior is unprofessional and unacceptable. Dont treat customers like criminals.

    I have been using the same price plus telephone number for 20 years. And never had an issue. I went into shoprite today to claim my free ham for the holiday, and they told me it was redeemed already, and that the phone number was registered to someone else. I was then sent to customer service to try to rectify the situation, and they told me there was nothing they can do and told me to call the 800 number. I call the 800 number and theyre telling me I have to verify all my purchases in order to have it adjusted. They were extremely nasty and didnt care to help. They just lost a customer.

    We appreciate you forwarding this to ** and bringing it to our attention.


    We believe that you might have received this complaint prior to ** reaching out to the customer.


    When we received the complaint we did reach out to the customer and email her an apology along with requesting her to come to the store to redeem her ham along with giving her a gift card for all of her inconvience.


    She was emailed on Tuesday April 11th and responded back the same day informing us she would be in the store on Wednesday the 12th.


    She did come in on April 12th around 1pm and spoken to one of our Managers where she received her ham & given the gift card to fulfill all of her needs and apologize for all the inconveniences she's had with our store at that time.
