I was not given a receipt to claim my lens. The health insurance attempted contact explaining my money has nothing to do with the insurance payment. Specs for less refuses to return my money until further notice.

********************* came in to our location on 4/4/23 with ******************* As per her insurance regulations we are to service their members and then request an authorization for payment.

********************* received a comprehensive eye exam by a ******** licensed Optometrist. Our normal fee is $55. For insurances we accept standard reimbursement. ******************** left us a $35 deposit for additional services not covered by Archcare. We explained that we would not process the order until Archcare contacted us.We followed all of the insurance regulations except Archcare never returned our calls or faxed over the necessary paperwork. We repeatedly tried.

On 4/19 ********************* called us to cancel the order and demand a refund. We explained that we would not refund since we were not paid for services rendered. We again called Archcare and they told us they were not paying us as they had instead issued ********************* a $150 gift card to use for eye related services. ******************** confirmed the same.

We believe that ********************* should have used the gift card to reimburse us for the $55 exam fee and did not refund her original deposit as we were not paid.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The business is incorrect in contacting **** care Insurance. I provided the contact information for them & had my Care Manager contact them aboutt the matter.  The gift card is also incorrect since I am not obligated to spend it with this business. My personal money still should not be used for something I did not agree with.

Their Optometrist employee payment is the company's business to pay them NOT ME FROM MY MONEY.

In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

    Sincerely,

As we have already discussed this matter with the ArchCare case manager and decided to give a refund of the fees paid we are not sure why this is ongoing. We have already assumed that ******************** was informed to return for her refund.
