This place is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! My husband is unfortunately there. And his care is the worst I've ever seen anywhere! I called to check his condition...at 4:30 A.M. and was told to call back "in the daytime"! And besides that... they refused to answer the phone at front desk!!!! How long is the State of New York going to let these atrocities to continue??????

I wish I could give this place zero stars. If you have a debilitated family member, do not send them to this facility. A few counts from my mother’s experience (a 61-year old NON-demented woman, recovering from spinal surgery, where a tumor was removed. Verbal abuse: —telling her they don’t have ******* time for her when she asked to receive help to get out of her bed and sit up in the chair —telling her “I don’t know what the **** you want from us?” After we called 911 after days of ignored, concerning symptom Neglect —my mother fell out of her bed and hit the hard hospital like floor. They did NOT followup thoroughly after her fall —the family immediately had concerns after the fall regarding unusual confusion and involuntary tremors (remember she just had SPINAL surgery) —staff ignored our concerns days —she was eventually transferred via ambulance to the hospital, after being demanded by family while staff tried to tell us it was not needed. She was admitted with MULTIPLE conditions that explained the symptoms we were worried about and could have been treated sooner —she has a colostomy bag from another previous cancer surgery. Her bag broke and after ringing her bell, she sat for an hour with feces on her. —putting a woman who was NOT incontinent into a diaper so they didn’t have to help her pee, then leaving her in it for hours —being rough with her and then telling her “oh it’s not that bad” when she expressed it hurt —pushing her things (phone/water) away and not giving them back to her for hours —NEVER answering a call bell or phone call when they were needed. For their residents or family. —scaring residents into not saying anything, in fear of retaliation. In my mothers very long battle with cancer (so many admissions to different facilities), I have NEVER seen her this deflated and saddened after just a short stay at this facility. She came out of there as a shell of a person because they have stripped her dignity.
