    -Alex's towing booted my car on 5/2/2025 while I was parked in a **** parking lot in ***************** and demanded $65 plus tax = $70 to remove it. - I arrived and parked at 8:50 p.m. and returned at 11 p.m. and called the number on the flyer posted on my car. - when I arrived, there were no signs indicating that there was no parking allowed there nor any times for no parking. - When the tow truck arrived to collect the fee, they pointed out that there was a small sign in the dark, on the far side of the parking lot that was on the garbage collection fenced in area that was completely in the dark. There was another sign on the other far side of the lot also in the dark. I have posted the signs in the message below that don't make any note of what "unauthorized" parking is. - the driver, ******* who arrived, told me that I should just "admit that I made a mistake" and pay. he also ignore my comment about why the signs were not at all clear and were not visible at the entrance or in the lot. He also said, "didn't you figure that if the lot was empty when you parked, that you probably shouldn't have parked here?- the lot had a chain link fence that was completely open. - I called the ************************** and they told me that there was nothing that they could do about it and that I should write a complaint to the BBB. - upon reading the many poor reviews of this company on Yelp **************************************************************************************************************************************** it seems that this has been a recurring problem for this business and that people are very angry with them.

    Better Business Bureau:

    At this time, my complaint, ID ******** regarding Alex's Towing has been resolved.

    Upon my notification to the Mayor of Elmsford, he spoke with the owner of the parking lot (the **** Postmaster) and the towing company, and they agreed to refund me for the penalty, and either update and move the signs and/or allow for parking in the lot after business hours.  Hats off to ***** ********! Very honorable and thorough.  I am not sure if the business Alex's Towing took part in the actual remuneration.
