We brought the car to get the transmission repaired, we were told the transfer case was rebuilt. In 3 months it broke again, after a month they had the car in the shop they said it was fixed. The check engine light was on again after 2 days of gettingit back. It broke down again in 2 months, same issue. Another month in the shop. Check engine light on again, we went to a different repair shop they said it was not rebuilt, another 2k to fix it right, it was done in 2 days.

    Business Response

    Date: 10/09/2023

BBB spoke to the business owner and the following was relayed: I emailed you the invoice and paperwork for this customer. First of all, this customer did not buy a transfer, he bought a used transmission.  That is what is on the invoice, that is what he asked for, that is what he got.  This customer wanted to keep cost down.  So in order to do that I said that they could buy a used transmission.  That is what they elected to do.  The chose to buy a used transmission.  A used transmission is what is on the attached invoice.  A used transmission is what they got.   As far as warranty work.  It states in our paperwork that all warranty work has to either be done here, or approved by us prior.  That was not done.  That voids the warranty.   I'm not sure why their transmission keeps going out every few months.  It is odd that the complaint was filed on the last day of the warranty as well.
