We had our son enrolled in a private elementary school called Notre Dame. This was our 2nd year attending, and the payment process is pay in advance, billed every month around the 15th. We moved recently and decided to disenroll our son from the school and put him in the local public school. His last day was April 27th, he started the new school on April 28th. We made the first payment for his school in August for the $527.50 plus the nonrefundable enrollment fee. The August payment was for September, and so on and so forth. When I contacted the school about requesting May 2023 tuition refunded the finance person claimed that the payment I made in April was for April. I said I disagree, we started paying for his school a month before school started. Since then I tried to open up a claim through my bank but it was an *** checking account debit transaction they can't file a claim unless I used a debit card or credit card. I have reached out to the school multiple times since then with no response. I am simply requesting the prepaid May tuition in the amount of $527.50 I provided a bank statement showing the payment to Notre Dame in April. I have also included statements from FACTS showinh payments made showing the August 2022 payment.
