We received a bill for ****** related to treatment my husband received at Westchester Medical Center for a broken wrist. I have attempted to pay this bill no less than four times, but they say they cannot take payment over the phone and they will not permit the transfer of credit card information through the mail. I was told that while they are experiencing this problem, they will not send the bill to collections. Well, today I received notice from a collections agency for this bill. They should not send a bill to collections when they are preventing me from paying the bill! This is outrageous.

I was advised by my gynecologist to get an ultrasound for preventive care which the insurance usually covers at this medical office, I had this done at the same location on 2/1 but then got a 2 separate bills account#******** from this facility $85.93 one from WESTCHESTER MEDICAL CENTER and one for $164.07 from WMC APS the insurance could not cover all. I called the insurance and they said they received 2 separate bills like they were 2 different locations but it was for only 1 exam. It seems they created 2 different companies to overcharge insurance companies and patients. They created 1 company to charge for the machine and 1 company to charge for the person that turn on the machine. I am not sure how legal is this practice but to me is not fare to get 2 bills for 1 single exam.
