    Late November we had paid off our bill with Coral Isle. We had issues paying it months earlier and only when I had asked if anything can be taken off the bill did the business offer a payment plan of any sort, I had previously asked early in 2024 and was told they dont do payment plans. We paid the $473 of which we had to borrow some in order to pay this off. At that time we were told they can schedule us before the end of the year to close our pool. We only had to pay our bill. With being told that was all that was required we paid. A loose date was given and the call ended. After nearly 2 weeks I had called to get a status, was given a date of December 12th. Usually I would get a call the week of to confirm. Since I was already given a date I wasnt worried when it came to the day of the closing. I called to check and was surprised when not only were we not on the schedule but were also expected to pay a $700 deposit which exceeds any of the bills that had ever been while closing the pool in the three years we have worked with this company.

    While we agree we owed the original bill this act by coral isle puts in jeopardy the pool itself during these cold months and is a safety concern with my three special needs children as its not just the pool itself but the temperature the pool has to be to be maintained the temperature. The alternative was going to collections which we were fine with but were deceived to have to take on more debt to not owe them but are now in a deeper hole. Them knowing we were short on money makes this even more nefarious, it was discussed at length. So this is vengeful and taking advantage of our honesty to a family very thin on funds during the holidays with a large body of water during the coldest months.

    Not knowing if any other businesses can help us we are really at a loss.

    Mr. *******,This complaint is RIDICULOUS! You admit you owed the bill. You paid it 7 months LATE! You could have been charged a $25 late fee each month for an additional $150 but we gave you a break as it's almost Christmas. You were never told you'd be closed or given a date for a closing when you tried negotiating the late bill to try again to take advantage of us. We didn't offer any payment plan to you ever. You also asked that the bill be reduced for NO REASON  AT ALL, again, try to take advantage of us. Your account has a history of LATE and or SLOW payments and we simply don't want to do business with people that don't pay their bills. We wish you the best in your future.
