    The contract they gave me was attached to my original complaint. It was only a paper with my items and the selling prices. I was told that I would get 50%.

    It is true that Mr. ***** came into the store 2 times.  He brought in a dresser on 3/4/2024 and a Desk on 4/1/2024.  We are a furniture consignment shop and we attempt sell items for our consignors at a 50/50 split with a 45 day term.  Mr ***** was very aggressive and rude when he dropped off the pieces and he demanded we put higher prices then what was recommended by our experienced staff.  We explained to him that it was unlikely we could sell the items at that price and they we have the right to lower the price throughout the term in order to sell the item.  At the end of the 45 days, If it doesn't sell we donate the items.   

    The dresser sold for $100 and he was rightfully due $50.  The desk did not sell and he called after the expiration date, so the items had been donated.  He continued to complain and then threatened to make this complaint and he has since received another check for $100. He has received a total of $150 and we collected $100 for the sale of his items so there is no refund due.

    This is not true at all. I dropped off both pieces on the same day. They were very friendly as was I. They helped me remove the desk and the dresser from my van. I was disappointed at the prices they gave me but I was okay with it. Even when they sold the dresser for a discounted price, I accepted that. But the desk is a different issue....it was a beautiful antique all wood oak desk, dovetailed drawers with keys! I was told that I would be notified when they sold, I did not hear from them at all. That is when I finally called them and was told that the dresser was sold but the desk was not. There was never any unpleasant phone conversations, most of my calls were unanswered and and not returned. I then turned to texting and my last message was that if I did not get the desk back (or the value) that my next step would be the BBB. That I did. I still have phone records of the dates I called and saved all the text messages.
