    Driveway was paved on September 27, 2024, they had down for a retaining wall, but I couldn't find anyone. I called Al, and I told him that I wanted to wait because I unable to find anyone. The turn around was within approximately five days. However, Al had given me a person to call, and I spoke to him, and he was nearby, and came over. He suggested exactly what the owner *** suggested when he came on Friday morning. I paid an extra $200, so that it could be completed. There was an issue with rip out under the car port, my husband didn't want it paved over, he wanted the entire driveway re-done. I asked Al about it, and he said Please don't have your husband bother *** because he knows what he's doing. I said okay, I'll take care of, but I didn't know they charged us for the rip out. My husband saw that they were not removing the asphalt, and paving over it. Al told my husband it would be extra for the removal under the carport. I called Al, and he said I waited for 30 days to say something. I just realized they were paid for something they hadn't done. The job was beautifully done. Al is very bold, and I can't believe he represents this company. He said I wanted a couple of hundred dollars back because I needed it. Very disrespectful, and I didn't to put review because I thought thy did a good job. They added the extra $200, on the bill, however they didn't take off the rip-out for the carport because the columns would be disturbed. Al had been to my home at least twice to measure, and measure again because the retaining wall was out. I paid him cash that I received from my car, and check. Never once that I think this would happen.

    Good Morning,

    My Original  thought was for the next year to pave the driveway, or return the increase for the rip-out of the carport, which was more cost.  He told husband that would be additional, but I know the  difference.

    My driveway was completely re-done around 10/10/23. Shortly after around February ************************************************* the center. I have reached out several times, with the owner stating they would come and check and rectify the problem. We are now in May and they have yet to come. Since February, the driveway has deteriorated significantly. Per my contract/estimate, it states 2" asphalt on resurfaced areas and 3" on new areas. The actual thickness of the asphalt is more like 1/2" At this point, the driveway needs to be redone, not repaired.

    Our office number is ************. There has been no one who notified me ( ***) about any issues and I am the owner of the company. This is the first time I am hearing about any repair work or issues and if someone would contact me I would have been over there immediately to look at the problem. I own a very reputable company and we do outstanding work and have had nothing but positive feedback for over **************************************************************************************************** and I am the only owner of the company.

    I have uploaded some of the text messages between the company and myself/husband. We've been speaking with the person who gave us the estimate, phone number ending in ****. If you are the owner, and in fact did not know, you need to speak with your employees. We have been communicating since February. The right thing to do is reach out to us to resolve the issue.

    You were speaking with ***** who is not an owner of any company. He was hired temporarily as a subcontractor to measure driveways for estimates. He has no right making any decisions and if you were in communication with him this is not his company. He hasnt worked for R. DeGroodt Paving since last year so any information hes writing to you is false. The only owner of the company is myself, *** Degroodt, and I have not had any contact about this situation. The texts and number you submitted is not my phone number or me, that is ***** and his cellphone number and i do not know who he works for. If there is an issue with any work I did please call the office so we can discuss.
