I hired **** to be my public adjuster after my home suffered water damages. He stated via text on October 29, 2022 "Once all the work is done I need photos and I will put an invoice together to get the recoverable depreciation. They will issue the money only after the work is completed." On November 2 again via text I followed up with him and he then stated "I have it. I will try and get to it today it's on my list."Again on November 7 I followed up yet again via text to which he replied "I have to put the invoice together I am out-of-town until Wednesday." On November 18th I sent another follow up and to that he stated "Good morning. I am working on the invoice. You have to stop emailing the adjuster from utica about the **************** on same email. The invoice is a courtesy. It's really your responsibility to get the appropriate invoice and submit. It does not look good that the ins adjuster sees an email of you asking me for a contractor invoice." Monday November 28th I sent another text & a follow up phone call to **** and he told me he would have to to me by that Thursday December 1. Yesterday, December 12th I sent another text to which I received a nasty & rude text back from **** that stated "Making you look bad? First of all I was dealing with a family health issue and I owe you ZERO explanation. Let me explain something to you. I promised nothing. Never used the word promised. I said I would do it as a courtesy which I do not have to do. I went above & beyond and got your claim covered and paid which would of never been covered without my presentation of it. Now you ****** me off and I am not going to do the courtesy. See how that works? It's your responsibility to get your own invoice from your own contractor showing you spent the money. Not mine. So figure it out and send them your invoice for the repairs that you paid for."I never would have known about this recoverable depreciation had **** not told me about it!!!!

    Business Response

************** hired me to represent her in presenting, negotiating and settling her claim, which I did successfully. Upon her getting paid for ALL damages I explained that there would be a small amount held by the insurance company as recoverable depreciation which she can recover upon providing photos of completed work and her contractor's paid invoice. I had nothing to do with her repairs or her contractor. ************** did not spend all of the money she was paid and wanted me to forge a contractor invoice so she can recover money she never used. ************** profited from an insurance claim and attempted to defraud her insurance carrier for more money.

    See attached insurance documents.

Again, I successfully settled her insurance and met my requirements as her Public Adjuster.
