Ever since one of their employees has been caught stealing, my due date for my loan payment changed without contacting me, also, I paid up to 7-8 months ahead on my loan & have been & am being charged double on the principal interest, bank credit interest due to, according to Brooke, because of no activity on my account, along with being charged to make a payment over the phone. None of this is fair!!! How am I charged for no activity when I have paid in advance? I have had very, very arrogant & hostile response from another rep of Five Star. I have been doing everything right even going without food to make sure I meet their new unauthorize changes. They are taking advantage of the elderly, (such as myself), & people of color.

Five Star Bank is by far the worse bank I have ever heard of or dealt with personally. I financed a vehicle with them three years ago. I am a disabled veteran and receive my funds from the VA the 1st of each month. When I first bought the vehicle I set up an auto draft from my checking account on the 1st to pay this loan. I even checked to make sure the payments were being sent so everything was fine. Well, it wasn't fine. Come to find out my due date was on the 27th of each month and by the time Five Star received my payment it was late and they charged me late fees. So I sent a message to Five Star and ask to have my due date changed to the 1st of each month. I received a reply telling me I needed to send the request in writing and the due date could only be changed once for the life of the loan. I also sent them messages about other issues I was having and they will not resolve ANYTHING via messaging on their home page. That is crappy customer service. Last week I sent them a message asking for the 30 day payoff on my loan because I was going to refinance it with another bank. Again, I get a message back that I have to call or send them a written request for that information. After I complained about this they messaged me back saying if I gave them my email address they would send me the 30 pay off. They didn't have my email address after all the paperwork I had to fill out and sign when I took out the loan?? So I got the refinance and sent them a check for the balance on my loan, today I get a letter from Five Star Bank telling me I owe them another $340 because the balance due wasn't equal to the 30 pay off. I may just drive there and give them $340 in pennies. This is incredibly frustrating and extremely poor customer service. I will be sure and tell everyone and anyone about the poor customer service this bank provided.

This bank is terrible, I’ve been trying to get into contact with this woman named Josie M**** for over 2 weeks. They took my car with false documentation, stating I have not been paying for 3 months when I in fact did. I had my mother call and she got right through to her. And gave her information on my cars whereabouts. Since then she hasn’t been able to get into contact with her and I’ve been trying multiple times a day, leaving polite voicemails. Josie was very rude to my mother and yelled at her, when all my mother was trying to do was get answers out of them since I was never aware or contacted about my car getting taken. Absolute recklessness, rude, incompetent, lousy company.
