    My husband **** and I hired Lou S********** in August 2022 to do a large concrete project. We had been meeting with Lou since 2018. He made many promises and sounded very confident that he could complete our project with no issues. We learned very quickly that he wasn't skilled enough and has a very bad temper. He started the project on August 22, 2022.
    I paid Lou S********** $16,500.00 on August 22, 2022 to start the concrete job. He built a sub-par retaining wall that now needs to be taken down and rebuilt. Then he asked for the second installment on August 31, 2022. I paid him by check on that date for the same amount of $16,500.00. He made a sidewalk and another retaining wall which we approve of. We have gotten a quote from another company to tear down and rebuild the first wall and that amount is for $6,400.00. Lou also caused serious landscape damage to our property and we got a repair estimate for $772.20 to fix it.
    We sent Lou an email on 10/14/22 asking for a portion of our money to be returned. $18,000.00 He responded to the email stating he would figure out what is owed to us but never sent any money.
    Lou's last day at our house was on Sunday, September 18th, 2022. He got angry with my husband for a request he made about leveling our driveway. Lou threw a little fit and moved some dirt around and left. He never returned after that.
    We have a lot of evidence but I am not able to attach everything right now. Is there another way of getting this information to you?
    We hired an attorney who sent Lou a demand letter dated October 28, 2022. No response as of today's date. The attorney asked Lou to pay back $26,672.20.
    We feel that Lou owes us this amount to pay back what he did not complete from his contract plus to fix our lawn and redo the one retaining wall.
