    I had Mike come to my home to install my pellet stove, he was recommended by ****** **** where I bought the unit. After the install I realized he did not follow code regulations. When I reached out he stated he would come and fix it but never set a day and time with me. With the inspection he scheduled approaching I took it upon myself to fix the issue, with no communication he showed up at my house after I let him know had went and purchased an extension pipe and readjusted the unit to meet code for the inspection. He told me that most inspectors don’t care about code, I had sat down with the code enforcement officer from Hopewell and he told me that he would have failed the unit if I didn’t not make the adjustments to the spacing. He was supposed to caulk and put my siding back but forgot his tools for the second time. He stated that he would be back to finish and deliver me a receipt for the job but never showed despite me paying him. I have reached out to him on several occasions and have gotten no response. I even sent my address and just asked to have the receipt for the work mailed to me and let him know I had someone else come and finish the job and nothing. I would like an explanation of charges and a receipt for the job explaining what exactly I was charged for because it was never verbally explained or provided for me which leads me to believe I was taken advantage of in this situation.

    BBB spoke with the owner who said that if the work has passed inspection, the consumer would need to go to the town for the inspection report.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I don’t want a receipt for the inspection that has been provided for me. I want a reciept from Mike for the install services he provided so I can submit it to my accountant for tax purposes.
