Contracted Saint Lawrence Dock Systems (SLDS) to build a walkway and floating dock for our Grindstone Island property on September of 2022. The company took $28,935.00 deposit in September of 2022 for installation of the walkway/dock by May 15th, 2023. SLDS has not shown up this season to build the walkway/dock and has not returned communications through this season. Multiple attempts have been made. As of filing the complaint it is now August 3rd, 2023. We instructed SLDS to return our deposit as the contract was breached and we were seeking a new contractor for the project. No reply by SLDS. This is a fraudulent business and is the process of theft of services; no intention of fulfilling the contract.

Last September 1, 2021 Property on: ****** **** *** *** ** *********** ** ***** Steve Stevens (owner of the company St Lawrence Docks Systems LLC) came to our camp with a contract for: *Repair of lawn and under seawall where soil had been washed out, *Bring rock fill and cover with soil cloth. Install soil on top of cloth. * Work to be conducted fall of 2021 and be fully completed by May 2022. *Steve asked for good faith money of $6,000.00 (Ck #***) Which was cashed. Soon after, camp was closed and I went back to NC. I have had very little communication with Steve since. His phone does not accept voice mail and was full. Occasionally he has picked up at assured me that he would complete. He preferred text or email. * We came back to NY in may to open up the camp. Steve was contacted around May 12th to let him know that I was returning to open up the house for the summer. When arriving nothing had been started on my lawn repair. I had to text him several times asking him to come by the camp to discuss. He finally arrived on 5-15 and said he would start the project in 2 weeks. I asked for updates yet I received none. I had to return to NC for family reasons. After texts and may attempts to contact Steve he finally returned my call on 7-15 (Saturday) and said he would be starting, yet according to our neighbor he did drop a couple of guys off. They did some looking around and measuring. Someone brought them lunch and then they left. This took all of about 1 hour. I have not been able to contact him since. I did sent him a letter and emailed Steve on August 10th asking for communication about completing the project or returning my $6,000.00. I gave him to 2 weeks to reply. As of today 8-29 i have not heard anything back. Last attempt to contact Steve was a text on August 24. In that text I did tell him that was going to contact the Better Business Bureau. Thanks for your help! ****** ******* ************
