On 9/21/2022 I hired All in One Construction to obtain permits for my home. However, All in One Contruction represented by ******************************* has failed to provide any services. We made a total of 3 paymentds for a total of $13,888.12 of which $7,500 was for design plan of my home which was never done. He has not submitted any paperwork or applications to obtain the permits. Everytime we call he never answers or gives ** the run around. We went to his office at ***************************************************** but is never there. ********************* and the company All in one COnstruction has lied and mislead me. THe contract states the work would take 3-4 months but it has not been 8 months. The company has lied and has bad business practices. He has stolen my money , until this day he has not provided me any documentation that shows he has done any work to obtain my home permits/.***********************************Business Response

*********** denies the allegations set for in the complaint.
Just because documentations has not been provided to the client does not mean work was not done
All in One maintains that a ***** of ****** Appeals application was initiated, zoning searches were done, and measurements were taken.
In this matter, there was probably a breakdown in communication. The client's goal was to legalize a basement apartment and a garage apartment. Those types of apartments could not be legalized in their current state. Work would have to be done to give the structures a chance at legalization.
All In Oine strives to always to the right thing for its clients. *********** recognizes that former clients are integral to a new and growing business.
in order to resolve this matter, while neither All In One, nor ************************ admit to any wrongdoing, the company is willing to refund 1/3 of the money ************************** claims to have paid. 1/3 of $13,888.12 amounts to $4,500.00. Of course, ************************ would need a complete withdrawal of this complaint in satisfaction.

I hired All in One on 12/29/22 to assist me in obtaining a Senior Exemption from the *****************. The owner (*********************************) and a (now former) employee came to my home to discuss the scope of the work. While we talked, ****** sat and wrote out a contract adapted from one meant for construction projects. I gave him a $2700 deposit via credit card and was told that work on the architectural plans (the most central requirement of the application) would begin immediately. Shortly after, *************************, an architect from ************ (a great and honest company) came to my home to take measurements. A secretary from All in One also called me with the names of a plumber who must file for a permit and a land surveyor who I was expected to hire on my own. I heard nothing more until 2/1/22 as I was checking in at JFK for a flight to ****. That's when I received a text in which ****** denied that it was his handwriting on the contract (!) and said I owed him $3500 for completed plans and $1500 for plumbing permits, the latter of which can't even be applied for until the plans are approved. I was suspicious, especially since he asked for payment via Zelle. Upon my return on 2/20 I called ************* and found out that there are NO PLANS because ************* never received a deposit. In a subsequent email exchange, All in One claims to have hired ******************* Architects to do the plans but ************ denies this and didn't even recognize my name when I called him yesterday. All in One is still demanding payment for plans that don't exist and threatening to put a lien on my house! As for the plumbing permit, I called the plumber he suggested and said ******* told me that he doesn't work in my area. My $2700 deposit obviously went straight to **************************** pocket and not a ***** has ever been spent on my behalf. I was also told by the former All in One employee that I am not alone in my situation and that others have been scammed for even greater sums.Business Response

Im here to clear the slander and my name that I have experienced from the home owner , I was hired as stated to manage the project of legalization of her basement apartment, I have a group of vendors architects, plumbers surveyors etc.. we sent our architect ****** ****** , we have not been contacted by ****** or his company regarding any disputes , we have a verbal agreement that we pay when jobs are started with architect l, we were never paid the portion of the drawing part of the contract ****** signed a contract with ALL IN ONE ,
research ,zoning analysis, property violation report and existing survey were all obtained through FOIL request , we sent ****** to start basic measuring , and have not paid him the drawing part or stamped plans part this is ******* 2 nd complaint there is a total balance of $7000 owed as per contract that ALL IN ONE WAS HIRED FOR , ****** does not have any right or does any vendor have rights to my contracts , and my agreement with any vendor or ************************* is not her concern she choose to hire us not ****** , fire us based on some statements made by a supposed former employee?.. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:Did you not read the attachments I included with my original complaint, particularly the comments made on ******** from five other people who handed over large sums of money and never saw any work completed? I gave ************************ $2700 to begin work and then he demanded another $3500 as shown in the emails from him that I attached, for architectural drawings to be completed. Who gets paid in entirety before the work is done? Not the plumber or the painter or even the doctor who bills you after your visit. ************************ wanted me to pay in full for work that hadn't even been started. That's akin to paying the painter before he's even lifted a brush. In my case, the architect needed only a $200 DEPOSIT to begin the drawings, which would have been covered by my original deposit, but he never received a ***** from All In One. I expected to pay for the drawings once they were done, which is how service businesses work. No one in the business world gets paid fully in advance unless it's a scam. Having spoken to the architect myself, I know that he did not require his full payment in advance and there was NO verbal agreement between him and ************************ that he would. My contract with All In One, which ************************ denied was in his handwriting although I watched him write it in my living room, did NOT specify full payment from me for the drawings before they were completed., and even if that were the case, the architect's full fee of $2300 would have been covered by my deposit. As for the other items ************************ mentions, i.e. property violation report etc., all of them are obtained via a simple computer search costing $25, and were obtained by an outside vendor who has also not received a ***** from ************************. As also previously noted in the attachments I sent, ************************ stated that he had hired a different architect on my behalf which is a total lie since that architect didn't even recognize my name when I called him. The $1500 that I was also asked to pay for a plumber is another one since no plumber can do anything until the drawings have been approved by the ***************** and the one he said I should call doesn't even work in my area. Finally, the former employee ************************ refers to was here when ************************ wrote out the contract and can back up every statement I have made. ************************ took $2700 of my money and then asked for more while referring to a contract that he denies he wrote! If that's not a scam, what is?

I contacted this business on 10/20/22. I was contracted me back on 10/21 for me to verify the time he said he would be coming. I was to meet with someone @ 3pm. I contacted the office @ 3:54 pm to verify he was coming and was to he was in meeting..After meeting with someone @ 6pm on 10/24 and discussing that he would be able to complete my application in less than my 6 week time table. When I signed the contract on 10/25 he said there was a chance I could hear back from him or someone in his office by end of week or the following week. On 11/4 I called the office and left message to call me and also texted to see what was happening. I received a texted back stating he was out of office on a family emergency, that there was no answer from the village and that I should call him direct. As not to bother him I waited until 11/10 to contact him after I called the village and verified with them that there was nothing submitted to them about my property. I received a texted he was out of office all week. I texted him due to his emergency I wished to cancel contract and receive a refund so he could focus on his emergency being nothing was done yet with the village. He texted back that the paperwork was in his office and would talk to me in the morning. I made a trip to Village Hall and as of 3:26pm on 11/14 nothing has been presented to the building department at Village Hall. I am contracting with someone else so I can get my task done. I had six weeks to complete this and am down to three. If there are issues this will never be done in time, must be completed by 12/6.I made one last attempt to contact business and was blocked.Initial Complaint

I paid ******************************* the sum of $5,000. A check made out to his company for $3500.00 and then he asked for a $1500.00 deposit sent via zelle. I have been calling his office and asking the status of my project to only find out he didn't even start the process. My violation expired on 8/1/2022. I went down to the town of Brookhaven to find out that the expeditor hasn't done a thing my house is stil with out a building permit and I had to hire another company to help. I call ************************ to give me a complete refund he said to come to his office to work it out. I don't want to work out any services with him.
