I was a customer of ******************************************* for almost 15 years. One of my units was broken into recently and many ********************* were stolen and/or vandalized as a result of gross negligence on the part of Premier Storage in not performing basic due diligence to protect their customers. For example, the only reason that I found out that my unit was broken into is because when I went to pay the rent, I stopped to check on the unit and saw that the locks were missing. The most upsetting part about this is the fact that the last time the unit was checked, as per the facility manager (******************************, was approximately 5 weeks earlier. I was even more shocked when I was told by the facility manager that prior to my unit being broken into there were multiple other break-ins at the same facility (according to local police there were 17 units total that were broken into at this facility). After attempting to contact the ******************* of Premier Storage **** ************************** on 2 separate occasions through the corporate website I finally received a brief phone call from ********************, he confirmed for me that he was aware of the break-ins but accepted no responsibility and informed me that there are no plans to reimburse any of the affected customers. I strongly believe that the majority of the break-ins could have been prevented and that Premier Storage should be held accountable for 1) not checking the other units at the facility after becoming aware of the first break-in 2) for not notify the other customers of the facility immediately after the first incident 3) for doing nothing to increase security measures and 4) for not conducting any daily or even weekly routine checks of the units at the facility to inform customers of any missing or broken locks.
