Server Supply falsified an invoice for an LTO-7 Ultrium ***** tape drive by stating it was a "BRAND NEW UNIT ONLY." The manufacturers, ***************, shows the serial number was for a product manufactured in 2020. Server Supply sold an $3100 item with an expired warranty and listed it as new.

************************, *** stands behind the quality and condition of every product we sell. The unit purchased by the customer was indeed brand new. However, the manufacturer warranty starts from the date it was manufactured. ************************,*** is not an authorized reseller for any manufacturer and has no control of the warranty. We offer a 30-day warranty for all our new and used products.  The customer purchased the unit back on 4/15/24 and requested an RMA on 2/5/2025. We kindly declined the *** request because as we stated above, we only provide a 30-day warranty. At the time of purchase the customer agreed to our terms and conditions prior to placing his order.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 02/06/2025

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Hello, please note the invoice listed "BRAND" new in box. The item was over 3 years old at the time of purchase, this is a gross misrepresentation of the status of the product. A proper disclosure would have listed, "Unused. product, manufacturers warranty expired," especially given that the warranty, which is of significant value on high-cost computer hardware, is factored into the original price. This item was purchased at retail cost without discount for a crucial element of the hardware, a 3 YEAR WARRANTY.

The product was listed as BRAND new in box but we learned the warranty had expired while attempting to upgrade the firmware. Server Supply should make this right by providing us with a 3 year warranty from **, but instead they continue to send harassing emails. See the attached chain.

In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

      Sincerely,

      **** ********
