In May of 2024 we hired **** Torres of Torres Contracting Corp. to provide concrete service in the back yard, front driveway and sidewalk, and to add pavers to the basement steps. He charged us $16,800 for everything, which we paid timely. The job was completed in or about June of 2024. At the end of the job, after the concrete dried, we saw issues with both the concrete work in the backyard and staircase. The job was sloppy and messy. There was concrete splashed everywhere, all over the walls of the house, the garage and the new pavers on the staircase. The finish in the backyard was horrible, did not match the front yard and not what we wanted. Neither **** nor his employees ever discussed the finish in the backyard. There was even a crack in the concrete, something we later discovered. We contacted ****, several times over the past few months, via email, via text messages, numerous phone calls, many of which have gone unanswered. After months of reaching out to him and threatening to take further legal action he showed up and was not very understanding of our complaints. After a long discussion, he finally agreed with our concerns and promised to make it better. He explained that it is still a busy time of the year for him and that he would return at the end of the summer to fix the issues. We understood and agreed, in an effort to resolve the issues amicably. After many weeks of reaching out to him after the summer ended, he finally came the last weekend in October and re-did the steps. He promised he would return to fix the concrete work in the back yard as well but once again he is not responding to our numerous calls. He took our hard earned money and did not provide the services promised. **** does not show up to the job site to monitor the work of his employees. He never showed up during or after the job to make sure everything was done properly. He only shows up to collect the money. He also does a poor job of communicating with his employees.

I had to email the letter in order to fit it in.

Better Business Bureau of ************************************************************************************* To Whom it may concern, I want to file a complaint with the BBB in reference to ****** Contracting Corporation. Their address is *********************************** *****. The office number is ************, and the owners cell phone number is ************. His name is **** **********************. The business Nassau License # is **********. The Suffolk Lic # is ******** The NYC Lic # is ***********. We hired *** ********************** to construct a brick patio in our backyard. We have had problems in the past with our patio cracking and breaking up in parts, so we informed *** ********************** that we thought that something was happening, such as water buildup, etc., under the patio , and he took the job saying that he will find the problem and fix it when he tears up the then existing patio. He and his company were hired in April of 2021 to do this job. The job was completed, but in September 2023, we saw that the patio had a large crack that ran down the length of the patio. We called *** ********************** to come and see it, and he did, and promised to fix the problem. After not hearing from him, we tried several times to call him, but he kept on putting us off with one excuse or another. We waited until the winter was over, and then tried to call him to come to see about repairing the crack. My husband has been taking care of this , but I made a call to *** ********************** and he promised me that he would come today, Saturday April 6, 2024 between 9-10 AM. I told my husband to please call him this morning at 8:30AM to confirm our appointment. He told my husband that he couldnt come, with yet another excuse again. This is no way to run a business. I am extremely disappointed in how *** ********************** keeps blowing us off. I want other people to know that this is a business that you cannot count on, and the owner just makes promises that he does not keep. Subsequently, it is now June 6, 2024 and we have contacted *** ********************** several times to try to have him come look at the damage, and we are getting the same run around with no resolution. I feel compelled to write this letter to you, which may not have any positive consequences for us, but other potential customers should know that you cant count on this business to help after the job is completed. Thank you for your kind attention **** and ************************* ************************************************** N.Y. ***** email: **********************

    To whom it may concern,

This job was completed in 2021 so it is out of the warranty time. But even so we still took care of the job and it has been fixed and completed on 06/19/2024. Thank you and have a great day!
