    I hired this law firm for a service and they required $7,000 up front to move forward.After 9 days, I was inquiring on what has happening with may case, as I was not clear (I have an email). On 2/7 I told them NOT to proceed.I also had a conversation with the lawyer, ****** ******, that there would be an issue finding the defendants address. I had a PI research a lot of information. The lawyer told me that we could serve the addresses and then use an affidavit and request a judge to serve in a different way. On 1/31 I sent an email that I was not paying for a private investigator. I later received an email stating that they wanted $5K for a private investigator. They had not answered any of my prior ************ a result, I told them I do not want to proceed. I have been trying to get my $7K back since 2/7. I was told I have to wait until the end of the month before I could get a bill but I sill have no date as to when to get my money back.I want my $7K returned asap!

    We are very sorry that you felt that ****** did not keep you informed about the status of your case or that there was a miscommunication about what information we would need in order to serve a civil complaint.  As you know from your past dealings with us we put an emphasis on communication with our clients and providing the best representation.  You were told that as soon as the billing was done at the end of the month you would receive a refund for the unused portion of your retainer.  Since that was not acceptable to you we did your bill separately.  I am pleased that we have agreed on a refund and as I understand you are now satisfied.  In our many years of business this is our first BBB complaint and I am pleased that we w/have resolved this dispute to your satisfaction.
