    I ordered a violin online from Sam Ash as a birthday gift for someone on March 1st. I received a confirmation email of my order and payment. The confirmation had a tracking button so over the next couple weeks I kept checking the tracking but it just would take me back to the order. I ended up calling Sam Ash directly and was told the item was on backorder. They were unable to tell me why this wasn't stated on the website or in my order confirmation email. They made an estimate of 3 weeks as to when I might expect the item but then told me my payment had expired. When I questioned what this meant, they informed me that since I paid through Paypal, my payment had "fallen off," and that they would reach back out to me about payment. I asked why I wasn't informed of this and they had no answer so I requested to speak to a supervisor. I was put on hold very briefly and then told the supervisor was on their lunch break. I requested a call back and am still waiting. I am doubtful I will actually get my item and will never use this store again. Buyer beware.
