Joe V****** from Armor Concrete agreed to clean the concrete slab in our garage, prep and repair cracks and other spots, apply cement or resin repair material, grind slab to prep for coating, clean slab with HEPA vacuum, silica vacuum, apply protective coating epoxy/urethane/polyaspartic with one pigment. The total cost of this job was $2,400 plus $192 sales tax, for a total of $2,592.

Joe completed this job initially in 7/22/23. During the process many air bubbles arose and he attempted to fix them. He came back several times at our request to review and resolve some of the spots the air bubbles left behind but it quickly became apparent that the process he was using to correct the issue was only making the issue worse so we asked him to stop. Since that time the spots that he attempted to repair have turned a dark color, the original air bubbles that he didn't attempt to fix are still there, and the entire section where the garage floor meets the asphalt driveway is lifting up due to water getting underneath the epoxy.

On 4/17/24 we had another concrete coating company come out to provide options for resolving this issue and we were told that the only proper way to correct the issue is to start over at a cost of $4,061.

We contacted Joe via email several times in an attempt to receive a refund of $2,000 to put towards getting this job re-done. He has not responded to our communication.

When he was initially quoting the job he was very responsive in his communication. Thereafter, it was very difficult to get in touch with him. There were numerous times where we would text/call him and he would not respond for days or weeks. Overall, this ended up being a very negative experience and we would not recommend his services to anyone.

We hired Joe, owner of Armor Concrete back in April 2023 to tear out the driveway approach and pour a new one. Initially the quote included him ripping and replacing the approach as well as two sidewalk pads on each side. After he was given half the money, he said he wasn't allowed to do the sidewalk pads, but would make the approach wider for the same price. His work was hastily done and shoddy. The rock foundation wasn't adequate, but he poured anyway. No rebar was used, but he claims he used "special" cement. He was supposed to put two coats of sealant on, but he only put one (i had him on camera). The end of the driveway started cracking near the corner so he filled it in with some filler, but that is at best only a band-aid type solution. He was supposed to put a name plate in, but he never did. It should be noted that Joe never came over unless I begged and pleaded with him. I have countless texts and calls that he never responded to. The only reason he actually did do something was because I threatened to write a poor review of his business. Since my Google review, he has yet to return. He also left his beat up wheelbarrow and some long wooden beams in my yard and never picked those up. This was a stressful project that was never taken seriously. I absolutely regret hiring him and hope my driveway will last long term.

We gave Joe 1250.00$ to make our concrete look better with a product that he suggested he made it look worse and could not fix the problem
as he was working to make it look better he then was very sloppy and destroyed the coping around our pool he said he would come back and clean it up
We were then ghosted and now we would like a refund

In March of 2022 I provided Joe vacanti owner of armor concrete 12,000 dollars to redo my driveway in concrete. He failed to do so until august when he ripped our driveway out and left us with no driveway for 2 months. Then did half the driveway then came back 1-2 weeks later to finish in the process. They hit my storm door with the bob cat damaging it, ruined our siding and skirting. A dead line of 2/15 was put in place to clean the siding and skirting along with replacing the side door. It is very hard to trust a company you have given multiple chances to correct the situation and continue to be let down.

Hired and paid for concrete to be colored and put sealer on so you did not slip.     They did the work but right after I called owner Joe V****** to come and look at it because it was not right. He came and agreed and promisedhe would be back to fix it.     I believe they ghosted me - I called them quite a few times and sent a letter - return receipt requested which they refused -- ( I attached copy) I fell on the concrete because no ciating AND my neighbor almost fell. It is dangerous and I want them to give me back my money to hire someone else to fix it -------- (I do not trust them) Thank you

    Business Response

BBB spoke to Joe at business and the following was relayed:

The customer contacted us to address an issue with a concrete slab she had poured by another company. This was a 2nd slab and the colors didn't match. She wanted them to match and we tried to match them for her, with no guarantee that they would match, and did get them a lot closer. We have returned 2 or 3 times to address any concerns she has. Nothing has ever been mentioned about the customer slipping and falling. We applied the anti-slip product as contracted.
