      I had the Getzoni Agency, ********** Auto Insurance for 30+ years. I called them in May 2022 to see if I could reduce my premium, the agent called me back a day before the premium was due and could not reduce the premium so I cancelled. I switched to ******* ****** auto insurance effective May 12, 2022. I received a debt collection notice today from ********** ***** saying I owed ********** Insurance from May 12 - June 7 on 1 car of 2 that I had insured with them. I always paid my annual premium in full. Getzoni never sent me a bill stating I owed this. When I tried to call Getzoni Agency today, they have an answering machine and unless you are filing a claim or know your agent’s extension, you cannot leave a message. This false debt notice is disruptive to my 800+ credit score. Sounds like Getzoni has sour grapes because I chose to find another agent within the date of my insurance premium being due to them.

      We apologize you were having issues with our voice mail system.  Our system will allow you to leave a message in the general mailbox if you wait until after it lists the employees by extension.  As per company guidelines, we are unable to cancel a policy verbally.  Your new carrier/agent should have provided us with a written request to cancel otherwise known as an Acord 35 form signed by you.  They may email that request to us at *************************.  Once received, we will be more than happy to cancel your policy effective the date it was written with the new carrier which should resolve the billing issue.
