      National fuel should not be providing utilities. Their customer service representatives are very very rude. One of them decided to “punish me” for asking for a supervisor by putting me on hold until she felt like it. She would come back on the call to try to set up an appointment for me. I kept explaining to her that what I needed was not an appointment but I needed to speak to a supervisor. She said my situation was not an emergency and continued to put me on hold again until she felt talking to me. This is insane. Nobody should be treated like that especially for utility services.

      Their 8 hour window of service with 15 minute notice is HORRIBLE. They expect us to waste an entire day, possibly lose income, and wait in a house that currently has no heat because the gas is off for what amounts to a 30 minute or under job to turn the gas on and check the furnace!! They told me the 15 minutes is controlled by the public service commission, but I could not find any documentation of this in the bill or rights.
      This policy needs to change to a 4 hour window with at least 30 minutes of advance notice!!! If an emergency happens that pulls the crew away, then they should be able to communicate such!! With technology, there is no reason systems in place should not be able to automate this process via text/automated calls.

      I am on a budget plan at $82.97 monthly. Bill for last month tripled and is now at $248.54. Usage history says the bill was estimated, yet gas usage says meter read. Actual charges ytd are $451.56, budget billed ytd is $756.00. Plan balances Feb of '23. What is the point of having the budget plan if they're going to jack up the rates 3 times the original amount and screwing customers. I understand the cost of fuel is up, but.....

      National Fuel has been overcharging me for years now under the guise of “budget billing”. It’s made to look like they’re doing you a favor by spacing out your payments over the year so that they’re more equal, but in reality they are charging you MORE over the course of the year. Then, when you figure this out and try to go back to month to month billing they charge you a $250 fee for canceling “budget billing”. If it didn’t benefit them, they wouldn’t deter you, by charging you a fee to stop it. It is a scam that takes advantage of people who live week to week. So greedy. This isn’t about the increase in gas prices, I’m aware of the current state of this world. This is excessive at the very least.
