Paid deposit and contracted on 3/12/24 for Maldive Slabs in a brushed finish. Once deposit is paid, their contract states they will hold our material until needed. On 7/17 an employee confirmed there was no issue with our order and we then scheduled an appointment to view the templated layout on 7/30. Spoke with owner during that time and she never told us they had sold our slabs to someone else. It wasn’t until we arrived on 7/30 that the owner’s husband finally admitted our slabs were gone. Said they had something similar and tried to pass off pockmarked slabs to be like the brushed finish we paid for. In fact, he had even taped out a template of our kitchen on them. When I pulled out my pics of what we had ordered, the owner’s husband (Mike) admitted they didn’t have the right equipment and then went on to complain about how much money they wasted on the now pockmarked slabs they made by trying to simulate the brushed finish. Under a time constraint from our mortgage company, we went with the polished version which I would have ordered originally if I wanted that. He templated our kitchen layout and I told him there were parts I didn’t want used. Upon delivery, not only did he not use the layout I approved, but he included the very spots I specifically did not want in my countertops. Due to excessive lippage, their employees had to grind off the factory finish in an attempt to make the countertop flat. Their employees not only left grinding marks but chipped our counter as well. Seams do not line up, in numerous areas veining doesn’t line up and is off by a significant amount, backsplash seams are not color matched, installed sections that I had not approved and were not in the templated layout, They are refusing to honor their warranty, even after written requests. For leaving honest reviews of our experience, they are trying to intimidate us into removing said reviews by sending two Cease and Desist letters and have now threatened us with legal action.
