    CONSUMERS BEWARE! This company does not honor SIGNED CONTRACTS. I signed a contract with ******************* to upgrade my meters. We agreed on a price of $5100.00. I gave them a cash deposit of $2550.00 to begin the job. They came out on March 29 and before doing any work, **** told me the job would cost an additional $3,000.00 because of a code issue. **** never mentioned this the 2 times he came to inspect my home before quoting my estimate. I was told my meters would have to be moved to the other side of my house; the meters should be 3-feet distance from my house, due to limited space the meters would be 2-feet away. ***** contacted Con ****** to do a survey. If Con ** agreed the meters did not have to be moved, there would be no extra work required and the original price would stand. Con ****** came out on Friday, April 12 and determined the meters would be okay at the 2-foot distance, no extra work would be required. The job was scheduled for Friday, April 19. On Monday, April 15, I received a call from *****. He told me the cost of materials went up and the job would cost an additional $1,300.00. I refused. Again, we had a signed contract which ******************* REFUSED TO HONOR. My cash deposit was returned, but I don't know of any companies that renege on a signed contract. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE!
