On September 19th 2023 I went to my McDonald's app to order, from the $2 menu I received my BOGO and my total with my full order was $19.15. When I was ready to place my order on top of the page it says you can get free Mcdelivery for your first order over $15, So I tried it and clicked on it and when it process it jumped my order up to $35.85 So I called the McDelivery to cancel the order because of the excessive price And I was told by the representative from doordash to wait to order to get there call back and they would adjust to what is supposed to have been with a $16.70 adjustment back to me. So I did ask a scrubbed it and when I called back they said too bad you got to order now they're not doing it .So when I Said I was going to the better Business with this They said they put in an escalation to have the different refunded back to me. I never received any correspondence back so I called back a couple weeks ago spoke to a supervisor and she stated that she sent the escalation to McDonald's for the refund of the difference. This is the 26th of October and still have not received resolution nor any call back from anyone.

      Dear *******,

I am very sorry to hear about your Delivery experience.  Their are two sets of pricing in all McDonald's restaurants.  The first order you put in on your app was for DT, instore, KIOSK or curbside and those are what are on the menu boards AT the restaurant. (An order that you would pick up yourself).   When you clicked over and put that same order in with a Delivery service, the prices changed and yes, they are significantly higher and yes, those are correct for Delivery.  (Delivery does zero discounting)  Even when the McDonald's app took out the Delivery fee (which is normally $5.99), there are still service charges. I'm sorry you did not realize this when you placed that order and I apologize that Door Dash did not explain that to you either.

Since you were unaware of the price difference of placing a Delivery order and it was your first time trying that out,  I will send you out a gift card for the excess charges to the address you have listed in your email.   If  you'd like to discuss this any further, you can contact me at any of the numbers in my signature line.

      Thank you,

      ***** *****
