I cannot recommend Davids Flooring and would not hire him again. He did help me choose beautiful tile for the floor and tub surround, and the tiles were installed and spaced very well. However, he cut corners in many of the details. I discovered when it was too late that he did not remove the old floor, which would have been easy to do . ( It was that vinyl tile/planking that just snaps into place. ) He just installed some type of board on top of the old flooring and put the new porcelain tie on top of that. David did not take the time to remove the baseboards. Consequently, the newly installed tile ended up higher than the original floor, and he could not reinstall the shoe moulding on the baseboard, as it did not look right. David told me that I had to hire someone to cut and remove the old baseboards and install new baseboards and shoe moulding. (I dont know why he did this, as it would have been much easier to remove the baseboards than to cut them after the tile was installed.) He said that I also had to have new stained quarter round to put on the side on the vanity. David also caulked sloppily around the tub and under the vanity and around the register. The caulking around the tub is too wide and does not look good. I later discovered that the handle on the tub faucet did not work properly and the cartridge had been stripped. David had removed and replaced the faucet trim and did not mention problems with the handle. We had to buy a new cartridge for $90. This was a fairly new Delta tub faucet which had always worked properly. We paid a premium price for this job and did not get our moneys worth. And we have to pay someone to correct his mistakes.
