Well I guess it’s consumer be aware  I would think business people should be honest the date 6 -2020 is on the trane air conditioner. Their representative should have said it’s a trane we don’t deal with them it could be under warranty would you like to check.  I was informed by other businesses including trans that they could have checked with trane.  I not upset about the service fee it’s the part they overcharge for.  Even Trane say they could have submitted it as a licensed dealer.  live and learn. I will just not deal with them in the future and I’m sure they could care lessubmit it to Trane. Or they should be upfront about it. It is unfortunate that I the consumer are unaware of companies who take average of us who don't know all the policies. The tech knew to check to see if it was under warrant and didn't care, not their money I guess

    Business Response

    The customer requested
service from us on August 26,2024.

    During the request for
service, she was advised of our diagnostic fee of $99.00 to evaluate the
equipment. The customer stated that the equipment was six years old but did not
know the make of the equipment.

    After arrival, our
technician advised the customer of the cost of the repair and collected the
    amount agreed upon.

    The customer requested a
copy of the invoice the day after the service call was completed.

    The very next day the
customer contacted us and informed us that the unit is under warranty and
wanted credit for the repair. She had contacted the Trane company, the
manufacturer of her unit, and was informed the unit was under warranty. She was
advised by the Trane company that anyone can submit a warranty claim.

    She was advised correctly;
however, Jennings cannot submit a warranty claim especially after the fact. The
part that was replaced on the customer’s unit would need to have been purchased
from a Trane distributor to process a warranty credit. Jennings used a stocked
    part for the repair.

    For Jennings to receive
labor credit, the Trane company requires the dealer to be registered as a Trane
servicer. We are skilled and have experience repairing Trane units and all
other manufacturers’ units, but Jennings is not listed as an official servicer
    with the Trane company.

    Jennings has attached the
recorded calls in regard to this complaint to evince the findings of our
    response.

I am rejecting this response because:  Credit was applied for based on a lie by there high pressure salesman   They made zero effort to resolve this issue.

it was ran based on misinformation provided by Jennings and there associates. If they were honest about there terms I would have never agreed to applying for credit.

I spoke to them to address this issue and they stated they can’t help me. They have nothing to with this.

I want this removed because it was based on lies by Jennings and there salesman.

Jennings Heating provided an estimate for a new boiler on
3/28/24. Our technician and the customer discussed prices and terms. Jennings
finalized the price and called the customer to review. At that time, a link for
financing was emailed to the customer. The customer completed the application
for financing which included the terms and conditions. After completing the application,
    the customer notified our technician.
     Later the customer contacted
the technician to say that the application he filled out was not the terms that
were allegedly talked about. The customer wanted 0% financing with no payments
for a year, terms that we do not offer.
The customer wanted the credit inquiry removed from his
    record.
The finance company cannot remove the credit inquiry from
the customer’s credit history. Since the customer directly completed the application,
the customer has the sole responsibility and authority to contact the credit
bureau to have the inquiry removed. Jennings Heating nor the finance company has
the authority to remove the credit inquiry.
