    A deposit of $1000.00 to have a three season room. At the time when deposit was given, I asked if the room could not be built would I get my deposit returned. At that time *** ***** *** assured me it would be returned after all avenues were exhausted (the city of Seville would not grant a permit.) I call the company and asked to have my deposit returned. A check of $170.70 was sent to me with the attached letter. I called the various agencys to verify the amount listed and found out that the building permit of $55.30 was only $40.30. Also the electrical permit of $199.00 was never paid. Also a charge the visit to sign the contract was signed on the initial visit.

    I have attached the response letter to *** *****.  There was a mistake on the original letter and the attached letter corrects the mistake.  We have also sent him a check to correct our errors.

    As to the request to refund clerical time we are not willing to change our original charges.  To be perfectly honest, we spent a lot more time dealing with the Village of Seville than is reflected in that amount.

    I hope this will clarify our position on this matter.

    In August of 2021 American Patio Rooms completed a three season sunroom on the back of my home. In July of 2023 the walls of the sunroom started separating from the roof of the sunroom. I contacted American Patio Rooms on 7/7/23 and 7/12/23 asking if they could come take a look at the issue. As of 8/17/23 they have not been out to address the issue and I have not been contacted.

    We have responded to ************************ request.  As the person that does out service calls is out ill we are doing out best to respond to any request.  We will respond to requests that need immediate action first, such as a tree down on a roof or a leak in a roof.  Once these have been handled we address other problems that do not need immediate attention.

    As of 8/30 we were able to reach ******************** by phone and today (8/31) we have a representative at their home to access the problem.

    **** from American Patio was out today 8/31 to evaluate the issue and explained what needs to be done. The issue has been evaluated but not resolved yet.

    This is the second time I have responded to this complaint.  

    According to our attorney we are not required to repair anything on this property due to a court judgement regarding the non payment of their full contract. We are going to address this as a one time only response to their concern.  

    We are not obligated, by law, to address any future requests.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

    American patio came out this morning (09/18) and fixed the problem. They did a great job and everything looks good and works properly. American Patio stood behind their product and made things right.  Thank you
