Thursday May 8th. My mother, girlfriend, and myself all drove 2 hours and 15 minutes to this local card store advertising their box at $200. That was over 140 miles. Upon arriving we looked at their massive wall of product for awhile and decided amongst 3 items we came for they had advertised. The product being full of stickers with the price they advertised at $200. After saying I wanted to buy all three the two Store Owners had left to both converse for about 10 minutes. They then came back and said they can’t do the price they advertised on the sticker anymore it’s going to be $400 a box! I drove over 140 miles to buy these at $200 a piece just to be charged double when I get there? That’s just completely unacceptable. As a business they have to honor their advertisements that is their job. You can’t false advertise then charge people more when they arrive? They also told me this exact quote “do you want them or not, look around, do you see how big we are we really don’t need the money.”

I have never felt so disrespected in a business before that’s supposed to be community driven and friendly. I live in Pennsylvania. I drove out there for what they promised and it was not delivered. That’s false advertising and all I want is the product I came to buy at the price that had it for or compensation for the 280 miles I put on my car not including the cost of gas.

    *****,

    Good afternoon,

I am the owner of Full Grip Games, and I just received your complaint to the BBB, read through it, and find this whole situation very strange. There are a lot of inconsistencies in that report. Like you spent an hour scouring at all of our products to find something that was not priced correctly, you didn't drive here for that specific item, so now your just bold face lying.

Just so you know, any business has the ability to change their prices, and not sell an item to anyone at any time, I own it, it's my property, and especially when it is mispriced. More so in a collectible industry such as ours. You are no longer welcome into any of our stores, will be blocked on our website, and I will be notifying all of the other local stores with details of this circumstance and advise them to do the same.

Hope you have a wonderful day. I do suggest to learn how to use your energy for good in the world instead of trying to get over on stores/people and throwing temper tantrums when you don't get your way when something is not priced correctly...

And it's laughable you want $600 to cover the difference of the item is actually worth and what you'd have to pay for it anywhere else...sorry our product wasn't priced correctly and wouldn't sell it to you because of a mistake...
