    Hired this company to do several jobs, such as painting basement stairs, putting up wood paneling for my wall (leaving out the accent wall), and painting the panels, and the business offered to paint the living room as well. They were hired approx. 2 weeks ago, I paid 2500 cash upfront for the work to be done. After 3 days of work, the workers started to slack off. The basement walls were never finished, panelling was left on the floors, the part of the walls that are done are splotchy, the accent wall has paint splashed on it, the stairs that were painted have been ruined from wall sanding, and spots are missing. The owner did not come in to work with the others; the owner sat in his car for hours, and when asked why, he then discussed personal home problems with me. I convinced him to come in and work, which was only 3 hours; the other workers had worked 5 hours previously. The owner then again used personal problems to prompt him to not work 3-4 days after that, meaning he sat in the car while others worked. Baseboards were never put up either.

    The consumer wants a refund for work not being finished and being done improperly. Does not want business to return.

    We did everything the customer asked and some. She added more and more work everyday. And we did it.  Customer also openly admits to having mental issues and that's the issue hear. One minute she's trying to cooking u food then kicking u out the next not because work isnt right but because she was having emotional issues. Everything she paid us for was done or she wouldn't have paid us.

     I am rejecting this response because: There is no truth to the statement. 

    Example" Adding on more work" was actually applying Dap to selected area's throughout the areas I requested to be worked on. There is no mention of not arriving at the set hour of 9:30am, rather arriving what suits the owner.Hours put into the 5 day run came to 4.5 at most. I did not "throw" the two workers out of my home. The opposite occured when they left for their "Long  " workday, there was indication they were Leaving the job, not to return again. I was not informed by their quitting until a text message from the owner letting me know No longer would they continue to work for me due to my "Additions" of work I wanted to be done. The truth 90% the work I requested was never done or not completed. In the rebuttle there is one line of truth. I did buy lunch for the two employees 3 times and always made sure I had their beverages they liked nice and cold. Being a survivor of a massive stroke a few years ago and past the age of 70 and live on social security.( I had to retire due to health issues). My savings is minimum and due to their incompetency I might have thrown that money in the trash! The workmanship while they were here was immature at best.The owner **** has one emlready employe who did 99& of the work all the days.Why? **** would remain in his van, for 4 hours while his one employee was working in my home. I spoke to **** asking why he was not working and his reply "I am going thru a divorce and have so many other problems I Have to deal with these personal issues". Three out of 5 work days he used the same excuse. I took 45 minutes to explain I would not tolerate his behavior and to get to work or I will cancel the rest of my work order.  and I  paid for work which was never completed. I will end this truthfully rebuttal stating **** is far from being an honest person. His skill level is a   - 3. He fancies himself to be a manager of a handyman company,but the reality is he's not. Stay away Handyman's Quality Services or you will become another statistic like me.

    To whom it may concern 

    I'm not sure how we got here today Mrs ***** which is what she told us to call her. She herself posted receipts. Of multiple jobs that she herself paid for us to do in her home on multiple dates. She gave the impression she was very happy with work and several times called us. A god send and that she waited so long to finally get her work done. She never gave any impression that something was wrong. I've listened to Mrs ***** for hours talk about her life her health her family her dog. Then she blind sides me with this. And she never could understand I'm the boss of my company and I'm a contractor and I wasn't just sitting in the car I was working. And never was it 4 hours but if it was you said yourself someone was working. Then u said nothing was done but someone completed 99 percent of the work. I'm sorry only for your issues that your health has brought u. And unsure of what I actually did wrong. Are u mad that I myself didn't do the work? I'm unsure.
