Was in pretty bad car accident Thurs 6/29/23, Broken wrist in 2 places wrist and cracked some ribs. I found out a week later where my vehicle was and called talk to the same guy twice and got a weird feeling about him after talking with him because he was saying how old my vehicle was and even though he hadn’t seen it, he sure it was totaled out and I need to call the scrapyard on South Arlington and get a price for them on how much they would pay basically to junket, and then I would pay them from that . Originally, I thought he was kind of doing me a favor by telling me I had probably have aluminum wheels and let them know I have a Cadillac converter but after finding out they were going to give me a Shystie $450 for the car I was just insulted because I know that there’s places that pay $200 to punks that go around stealing them. I called back and talk to him and even though the towing bill was $260 (I’d get $190)he kept pushing how my car would be totaled out. I thought it was weird until I got there and found numerous items missing. Brand new pair of Nike boots with receipt i paid cash for and it a Nike bag with a brand new bottle of cologne in it, a portable car, battery, charger, a nice Nike shirt, and even my car, Bluetooth transmitter that plugs into my cigarette lighter to connect my phone to my stereo system. My passenger airbag was now deployed, which wasn’t before n had a cracked windshield. My car was ransacked even the trunk, phone case on the ground behind my car my gas cover was popped open as well as the armrest in backseat that leads to unlock trunk. I respectfully told the lady I had some issues and told her what happened. She said file a report it’ll be documented nobody could’ve broken in and we’ve all been here 35 years so nobody here did it. I am furious. Have video pictures/receipts. I feel like the guy gets a kick back from Arlington n the kid that walked in when I was talking to diff emp about the issues stole the stuff. Totally disgusted

Bowers Towing has reviewed Ms *******'s statement, Bowers procedures, communications with her and the police report. There are several inconsistencies in her claims, actions and the APD report.
Firstly, it is a contradiction that her automobile "began to pull to the right and she was unable to control" as she indicated to the officer, (please see encluded police report) and the fact that she recovered the vehicle several days later by driving the vehicle from Bower's impound lot. She then must have determined the vehicle was drivable. More likely she was distracted by some activity while driving and ran into the rear of a parked vehicle. She was cited for "Failure to Control" #*******.
She was transported by EMS to Akron City Hospital due to injuries to wrist and ribs which were likely very painful and, unable to drive, the tow was ordered to clear the street.
It took several days for her to contact Bowers about her vehicle and she then paid the normal fees for the towing services and the daily storage as are established by City of Akron.
There were several conversations between MS ******* and Bowers staff. All were in an effort to help her in her unpleasant situation. She waisted a lot of time and charges.
She took several days, seven, to make her first contact with Bowers. The storage fees accrue daily. After paying on the seventh day, it took three more days to recover the automobile. Bowers waived the fees for those days and she drove away. She, before leaving, made claims about missing items and made accusations toward employees.
Bowers staff is committed to helping people through what is generally an unpleasant time for them due to auto accident. Bowers has a strick policy of not disturbing a customer's vehicle and contents of the the vehicle. Examination of the secure fenced lot with video surveillance shows no breach of the lot. No one removed any personal property.
Ms *******'s "Desired Settlement" is "Billing Adjustment". It is determined that the only adjustment be that she pay for the three days storage fees we waived in an effort to be compassionate.
