  Date of Transaction: 5-17-23. Business installed new ******* variable speed pump and re-plumb with new valves and union. install on 250lb pentar filter. Re-plumb new pump to filter and heater and install new ******* in line chlorinator. That was the work completed by Steve at Pool Repari Inc. I notified Steve via text on Sept 26th, 2023 that a leak had developed, he did not respond. Texted him again on May 20th, 2024 after pool was opened that leak was still present and needed it fixed ASAP due to losing 1.5-2 inches of water per week. He did not respond. Texted him again on May 22nd about the same problem, no response. I was told that he did not warranty his work due to the distance from ******* ** to ********** **. Oddly, it wasn't too far for him to come and patch our pool liner in 2022 nor was it too far for him to do the work that this compliant is filed on. He did not put in writing or tell me verbally that he was not going to warranty the work. We paid Steve $3,465 cash for the work and we have a hand written rcpt. We want the leaks fixed. We had our plumber come out and inspect the work, filter backwash control has cracks in it and it needs repaired or replaced at no charge.

  Pool Repair Inc has not received any phone calls from the customer in question regarding any warranty repairs , the customer in question repeatedly pleaded with us to do the repairs on the pool for him we informed the customer at that time  we did not due that type of work in his area due to distance from our company and the distance from our supply house , customer informed us that he could not find any pool company in his area that could get out to his location in a timely manner and pleaded with us to do the job , we agreed to help the customer out with the understanding that we had a 30 warranty on labor and we don't cover manufacturers defects , (Hayward and pentair have their own service representative to come out and replace any faulty parts not sure if customer has contacted them)  ,since there pump had died and was not working  at that time and no other pool company had time to come out and do the repairs he agreed . The customer in question also has never called us to report any problems or ask us any questions about the repairs that we had done, we only heard about any issues this year, also Pool Repair Inc has always had the same warranty that is standard in our business that  if (Pool Repair Inc) does  not winterize the swimming pool we as a company  cannot guarantee or warranty  any plumbing , parts or  work done previously,  we are not sure if the customer closed the pool themselves or had another company close it. the chance that the pool closing was done in properly is very high  which can cause leaks , broken and or damaged parts , Pool Repair Inc was never contacted or asked to do the pool closing therefore, we cannot guarantee that something did not freeze, crack or break we would recommend that the customer contact the manufacturer if it was a parts failure and if it was not a parts failure we would recommend they contact whomever did the pool closing that could have caused the leak
