      My debit card was compromised with fraudulent charges on December 14 and account was closed. Another card should have been spent in 7-10 days. I have called 4 times with same story that the company that makes cards equipment is down. For two weeks I am being now told that equipment is working and they are catching up on orders. I still have not received. December 23 my credit card had a 1 cent fraudulent charge and it was closed. So I have not had a way except cash and check to make purchases for what I consider too long. I can not be in line without running into people having my issue paying in cash and not being able to order online with my bank OUCU Financial. Today I heard (not from my bank) that there is a country wide shortage of raw material to make cards. I am upset that my bank cannot get me a quicker or at minimum tell the truth why they they cannot get a card in a reasonable time frame.

      OUCU Financial is sympathetic to the concerns of our
      cardholders. In late November 2022, we became aware of production and supply
      chain issues our card processor was experiencing, which delayed the issuance of
      new and replacement cards to some of our members.

      We worked with our processor to determine options and gather
      information about the ongoing delays. We provided members impacted by the
      delays with the most updated information we had. When it became available, we
      took additional steps to enroll in an automated notification process and add
      messaging about possible card delays to our website. Our processor has since
      resolved the production delays.

      Our goal at OUCU Financial is to provide outstanding
      service. We wholeheartedly apologize for the inconvenience our members
      experienced.

      I feel the OUCU should not find themselves in a position of using a company that cannot provide cards in a reasonable amount of time. Not only did they close my debit card but also credit card. Info was not forthcoming. They literally had no idea when I would receive my cards. I called weekly and was told the exact same thing each time which was no info. They should have admitted the amount of members affected. I knew it was a lot because everywhere I went in the Athens area there were people waiting to pay for their groceries, gas, meals expressing the same problem I was having. They need to keep a large supply in cards in storage so this doesn’t happen in the future. Also changing card company would be a good start. I am not sure why but fraudulent activity occurs on my debit card at least once a year. I have concerns about security measures in place at OUCU. My children who bank at large institutions don’t have this problem. They rarely use cash so it would make sense that they would have fraudulent charges. I am concerned. They need to elevate their game.

      I am not sure why I didn’t do this earlier but applied for a ***** **** credit card and received 3 days later.
