On March 4,2024 Keith S**** a.k.a. 2nd Chance Flooring made his version of a contract stating that he was going to redo or kitchen, 2 bathrooms and laundry room floors. He stated in detail what work he was going to preform on them. He stated he needed $2,700.00 for material, in which we provided. We did not hear from him again(after several attempts of trying to reach him,(I have all text messages and records of any calls). We finally heard from him on March 9, and he stated that he wasn't able to work due to medical reasons. On March 12 he finally showed up to our house at app. 7:00 p.m. and layed one sheet of durorock on our kitchen floor and said he'd be back the next day. I made several attempts to call him to no avail. The next time I heard from him was March 15th and he again gave me reason after reason why he wasn't there. On March 20th he showed up at our house with another worker and laid 10 more sheets of Durock, but didn't screw them all down. Then again on then again in the 21st he sent another text stating why he couldn't come. This entire time (unbeknownst to him)I know of another job he has in Granville Ohio that he is showing up to. On March 27th I text him and told him we just wanted our money back. We'd buy the material he may have already bought from him and take into consideration the couple of days he did work. He sent a text begging for another chance, so we agreed. He has sent a few texts here and there but that if it. The Durock that he did lay is ruined because you can't just walk on it. Also, it's in our kitchen, a high traffick area so it's impossible not to walk on it. He has done nothing since and won't bring us the material or the receipts that he states he has. We are seniors and this is the first home that either one of us has ever bought, this man is ruining our happiness.
